Sunday, 21 February.
Almost didn't bother to bother with this post, it was pretty uneventful. Up at about 7:00 AM, got the pills into Tia without difficulty, breakfast, and once Tia got her breakfast (an hour after her meds) and we were on our way at 8:30.
Gillian had called to warn about the worst of the topes and the detour through one village as well as letting Art know the exact toll for the motorhome--252 pesos so he had the right change going through,
Fuel just before Barra de Navidad and he arrived at Puerto Vallarta Trailer Park at 2:15.
The site he had requested wasn't quite ready--they hadn't cut the overhanging coconuts--so he was put in another site "until tomorrow". Three or four days later the site was ready. Of course the move did not go without incident.
Backing into the site without a spotter, while watching that the right rear wheel did not hit the pad edge he "nudged" the base of a palm tree on the left rear. The corner that had been repainted in Zihuatanejo. This time though the metal skirt was bent. It looks to be a relatively easy repair. When under the rig some weeks later, looking for another problem (Post to come!) he noted that a weld had broken.
more to come in a bit.

Hi Art and Gillian! Amber and I met you as we were leaving Lake Braunig RV Park in November. We are planning our first ever trip to Mexico. We would love to be in touch with you to maybe plan to travel down with you in the fall of 2017. I think we gave you a card with our contact info on it but my email is:
ReplyDeletenancyalalonde@hotmail.com.
Thanks for the comments--I obviously have not been paying attention to the blog, just saw this today! Keep in touch, we will be heading down again this year but have not yet decided on the route.
