January 2009

We are for the time being in Zihuatanejo Mexico, in the Playa La Ropa area near the south end of the bay. We are one of eleven RVs in the El Manglar RV Park, which is also the parking lot for the El Manglar Restaurant. Food is wonderful, the company is great, the ambience not perfect but suits us!

Temperature ranges up to about 30C from overnight lows in the mid teens. Humidity can be a bit high, -- some mornings the awnings are dripping but recently it has been very pleasant.

This week the restaurant began opening for breakfast after Memo, the owner, talking about it for years. We tried it out this morning as we were out of bread for toast and milk for cereal! Fresh local coffee got us started, we shared a fresh fruit salad, then a sausage and cheese frittata for Art and Super Chilaquiles for Gillian, fresh orange juice fresh squeezed from oranges directly from the family's orchard!
